Creative industries: the city, community, culture

The "Creative industries: the city, community, culture" program is a two-week long course, combining full-time and distance learning educational forms. It is the first Russia local-practices based course of further vocational education, revises the role of creative industries in the economy of the city and the social and cultural development of the local communities in the urban space. The course is adapted to the Russian reality and includes analysis of the practices of creative industries sector, both in the design stage and during its follow-on development.
The program is elaborated to combine business skills and cultural practices. It enables a systematic and universal approach to management and entrepreneurship in areas based on the creative and intellectual component. The course is targeted at the specialists and researchers of urban space development, management of cultural institutions and sociocultural projects.
- The ZIL Cultural Center is a unique cultural center which main objectives are to stimulate the creative energy of citizens, to develop and capitalize their cooperation, to improve the quality of the urban environment,
- National Center for Contemporary Art-ROSIZO
- The State Exhibition Hall "Kovcheg"and other public institutions, tightly integrated into the local context and actively supported work with local communities and other institutions
At the request of the participant it is possible to stay in the RUDN University’s dormitory. Participants of summer schools are accommodated in double or triple rooms with renovation.
The cost of living for one person for 2 weeks is 100 euros (not included in the program price).
At the request of the summer school participant, the RUDN University sends an invitation to assist in obtaining a visa.
