The program is aimed at training specialists in the field of forensic expert activities. Due to the fact that forensic technologies are of a transnational and unified nature, it is possible to train specialists in the standardization of forensic activities within the framework of the International Technical Committee on Forensic Sciences, cooperation of the SCO member states, as well as interaction with the European Network of Forensic Science Institutes (ENFSI).
Training includes current problems of law studies, fundamentals of substantive and procedural law, basics of criminalistics and forensic science, methodology and technology of forensic examination supplemented by a large number of practical exercises, including forensics training, as well as analysis of judicial and expert practice based on long-term practical experience of forensic expert institutions under the Ministry of Justice of Russia.
The program is based on the use of a modular integrative principle of constructing curricula (syllabuses) of disciplines by choice. Generality of the Curriculum on the specialization "Forensic expert activities in law enforcement" provides for the possibility of co-education as of bachelors in law (already having the first level of legal education) and bachelors in other areas of training (not having basic legal education). At the end of the master's programme, the students work on a master's thesis in the chosen direction of the programme corresponding to a specific expert specialty.
All disciplines are taught by teachers, combining their work with practical activities, in particular, at the Russian Federal Center of Forensic Science of the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation.

By choice: 3 blocks of practical disciplines on the specifics of different kinds of forensic examinations, forensic expert activities quality management.
It is closely linked with examination, organizational and methodological activities in the Russian Federal Center of Forensic Science of the Ministry of Justice, that has a wide network of forensic institutions throughout Russia.
The Department of forensic expert activities has established close international cooperation with scientific expert organizations of the near and far abroad countries, since the FBI of the Russian Federal Center of Forensic Science of the Ministry of Justice takes an active position in the activities of the European Network of Forensic Science Institutions (ENFSI), which implements quite a lot of educational activities in different areas of forensic examination .
Having successfully mastered the educational program, you will be able to work in Russian and foreign forensic institutions not only as an expert, but also as a kind of manager, organizer of expert and research activities. Graduates of various institutes, obtaining Master`s degree in Law, can be successfully engaged in forensic, expert, lawyer, insurance, scientific activities related to the use of procedural and non-procedural forms of specialized knowledge. For example, graduates of the Faculty of Engineering can become lawyers specializing in the field of judicial construction and technical expert examination.
In addition, a graduate can continue research work in PhD programme, as well as teach in law schools.
Master graduates work in the Russian Federal Center of Forensic Science of the Russian Ministry of Justice, courts, private non-governmental forensic organizations.
