Programme Focus

A specialist in the real estate economy with a specialization in all fields of property appraisal is in high demand in today’s labour market by enterprises, scientific and production associations, innovative and consulting structures, including foreign companies.

A Masters in Economics (specialization in real estate Economics in Agroindustrial Complex) grants an array of professional opportunities including: finance, marketing and analytical services; state and municipal authorities; academic and departmental research organizations; institutions of higher and Additional Vocational education.

The objects of professional activity of this Masters degree are the behavior of economic agents, their costs and results, functioning markets, financial and information flows, production and research processes.

Educational process

From the first year, students are immersed in their specialization. The training is based on modules and credit system (ECTS). Traditionally, students from different countries study at RUDN. In 2015, representatives of more than 120 countries were studying at RUDN. Students can study one or more foreign languages. The Agrotechnological Institute at RUDN partners with universities in France, Italy, Greece, the USA, Ecuador, Angola and other countries.

Representatives of the following countries were trained in the Agrotechnological Institute in the Bachelors and Masters programmes in Economics: Russia, Kazakhstan, China, Bangladesh, Cambodia, Mali, Nigeria, Benin, Côte d'ivoire, Guinea-Bissau, Angola, Haiti, Venezuela.

Academic Faculty & Staff

The programme is implemented by highly qualified staff: two doctors of Economic Sciences, four candidates of economic sciences, and a senior lecturer.

Practical training

Students will undertake internships at enterprises, scientific organizations, and government authorities: the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia, the Russian Society of Appraisers, the Institute for Agricultural Market Studies, the All-Russian Research Institute of Organization of Production, Labor and Management in Agriculture, and others.

Students will have the opportunity to undergo a summer internship in agricultural farms in France. Previously students with this opportunity received tuition in France, Germany, Spain during the semester.

Graduates’ expertise and career opportunities

For a number of graduates, the careers of state officials are attractive. The Government, the Ministry of Agriculture, Administrations of territorial subjects and municipalities employ them. The majority of graduates are employed in commercial companies. The demand for specialists in the economics of Agroindustrial Complex is increasing in consulting companies and banks: Rosselkhozbank, BIN-Bank, VTB Bank, etc. Some graduates enter postgraduate programmes and focus on academic careers such as working at RUDN. Graduates also have the opportunity to continue training abroad.
