About the profession
Neurosurgery is one of the most difficult fields of medicine. This field of surgery deals with the treatment of various diseases of the central nervous system, the brain and spinal cord, as well as its peripheral divisions. Specialists in this field of surgery are called neurosurgeons.
The Department teaches the discipline "Nervous diseases and neurosurgery" to students of the field of study "Medical care", studying at the fourth year of study.
The Department trains highly qualified personnel as part of the full-time and part-time postgraduate training programme: "Neurosurgery”.
Postgraduate students are trained for 3-4 years on a full-funding and contract basis in accordance with the state educational standard. The purpose of the postgraduate educational standard of higher education on the specialization 14.01.18 «Neurosurgery».
The scientific research internship is organized in close relationship with the research work of a postgraduate student and contributes to the formation of competences necessary for conducting scientific research and to the development of the skills of independent scientific research work within the departmental scientific school.
The teaching internship implies learning the disciplines "Neurosurgery" (knowledge, skills and abilities gained in learning this subject are necessary for the competent development of the content of training sessions); "Teaching methodology" (consolidation of knowledge, skills and abilities of methodological development and analysis of the basic forms of training sessions and extracurricular activities, explaining, testing and control of knowledge, organizing the educational work with students).
Having successfully mastered the educational programme, you will be able to solve professional tasks in the field of clinical medicine, covering a set of theoretical and applied problems, as well as the related medical and biomedical disciplines. The final original scientific research will contribute to the creation, expansion and development of scientific knowledge.
