Applied mathematics and informatics, profile – “Mathematical methods of the mechanics of carrier rockets and space vehicles flight”
In the Engineering Academy, specialists are trained in the field of mathematical and computer modeling of complex technical objects and systems, developing mathematical support and software for managing complex technical systems in the sphere of general engineering, aviation and space industries. Laboratory research is held in the Space Flight Management Center of RUDN University, as well as on-site training in the leading space-rocket enterprises. A high level of mathematical training and computer modeling allows graduates to successfully work in state and commercial organizations of various sectors of the national economy. The focus is on the problems of flight control of space vehicles in near-Earth space and engineering of space missions to other planets and objects of the solar system. Avoidance of collisions with objects of space debris, solving transport problems to ensure the operation of long-term orbital stations, technical bases and settlements on the Moon and solar system planets, other topical tasks of modern space exploration are given much attention to.
