The thesis research is devoted to an actual problem of study of the system of Vietnamese online newspapers, the factors influencing its formation and development, the information policy of Vietnamese leading e-newspapers expressed in their content. The thesis research includes a content- analysis of journalistic texts issued in the popular socio-political publications of the country. The author examines the problem of state regulation of networked media space in Vietnam.

The dissertation research is devoted to the history and the state-of-the-art of French press for female reader. The author investigates the transformation of woman’s image in the course of development of women’s magazines and the role of gender stereotypes in the building of this image. The special attention is paid to the issues in focus and remit of modern French women’s magazines: the author presents the content analysis results of the most read title in this branch of press, Femme actuelle, upon which the author articulates the main features of woman’s image transmitted by the title and recognizes that it consolidates gender stereotypes.

The results of the PhD research are dedicated to the specifics of formation of brands in arts in the information space on the example of the brand of the Bolshoi theatre. The study reveals the concept of ‘cultural brands’, defines the role of information support in their formation. Theoretical aspects of the concept of ‘information space’ are scrutinized, the characteristics of Russian and foreign information space in the generic context of arts as well as in the context of theatrical sphere is given. The history of evolution of the Bolshoi theatre as a brand during the 1917-2015 period is investigated. Publications in the Russian and foreign mass and social media on the opening of the historical stage of the Bolshoi Theatre from the actual, thematic, stylistic and compositional perspectives are analyzed. From the established and investigated issues of positioning of the brand of the Bolshoi theatre, appropriate tactical suggestions and propositions on their obviation are proposed.

Particular attention is paid to the general principles of journalistic deontology and the peculiarities of their practical implementation in the process of coverage of armed conflicts, and estimating of the editorial policies of the BBC, CNN and Al-Jazeera news channels from the aspect of professional ethics.

This dissertation research considers the main stages in the formation of the media image of Mongolia in Russia from the establishment of the Russian-Mongolian relations to the present (1921-2016), as well as features of media materials concerning Mongolia in the Russian media from the point of view of intercultural discourse. The author analyzes the tendency in the formation and development of Russian-Mongolian relations and their coverage in media in terms of political and intercultural communication. The author also studies the main directions of Russia's information policy regarding geopolitical relations with the People’s Republic of Mongolia (PRM); revealed features of broadcasting information about Mongolia in Russian print media; and determined the features of language and style, as well as genre forms of information materials of the Russian Federation media about Mongolia. As the result, the author comes to conclusion that it is important to activate media instruments of interaction between Russia and Mongolia in the present time, utilizing information and communication technologies in the aspect of international cooperation, formulating a strategy of friendly relations of the country with developed countries, very firstly with Russia.

Game media space of multimedia English-language mass media: new trends in genre formation

The thesis explores the specifics of English-language online media genre formation evolution. The study applies a new game approach for scrutinizing multimedia journalism. A game is defined as a method of reconsidering media reality, which is based on interactive subject-to-subject (networking) communication of equal participants. A game is exposed as an incarnation of media space, new approaches to structuring the content, which provokes strong interaction with the audience. The practical implication of the work arises from the author’s elaboration of «game media space», a new concept, and its introduction into the scientific language and theory; the multimedia project classification by narrative forms: continuous, comprehensive and immersive.

The thesis is devoted to scientific understanding of the Chinese videoportals significance in international communication. Researching the significance of China's international communication in the modern world as a means of promoting a positive image of the country, the author determines that the most influential foreign national media (News agency "Xinhua", China Radio International, China Central Television) occupy an important place in this process. Analyzing Chinese videoportals, the history of their emergence and development, modern position and structural features of the online-video segment, the author finds out the significance of China's Internet broadcasting in international communications generally and the characteristics of the thematic trends and videocontent style for the foreign audience. Researching the three international videoportals of China Central Television (CCTV-4 International Chinese, CCTV-9 Documentary and CCTV-Russian) and the most popular Chinese videohosting Youku in the context of promoting a positive image of the country, the author has determined the main problems and prospects for the development of Chinese videoportals in the international communication.

Dissertation investigation is devoted to the studying of signs and particulars of forming TV media image of Russia on domestic TV. While working in the aspect of their influence to forming of country image in international area, the modern media image of Russia is examined together with genre and speech specifics of TV programs. This enables us to find out such components of media image as fact, chronotop, idea and dialogue. The Author is analyses the content aspect and language characteristics of Russia’s media image in certain information, analytics and publicist TV genres. As a result of thisinvestigations the author comes to the conclusion that in present conditions the meter concerning creating of internal media image is actual to foundation of positive image of country itself. However the factual component of media image is contradictory and defective as the present TV does not fully contribute into it positive perception.
