The problem of peripheral development of the BRICS countries
The problem of peripheral development of the BRICS countries
Denis Degterev devoted his research to how the problem of peripheral development of the participating countries is overcome in the framework of BRICS (Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa). Using the example of a network analysis of the top 5 partners of each of the BRICS countries, the author showed a network of current interaction among the participating countries.

The network analysis itself is a method for analyzing the start and end dates of the unrealized parts of the project, which allows linking the implementation of various activties and processes over time, having received a forecast of the total duration of the entire project.

According to the results of his research, Denis concluded that the maximum values of centrality indicators in the BRICS trade network are occupied by the PRC, slightly lower indicators are held by the USA and Germany, which fits into the concept of the formation of “new bipolarity”, but to a lesser extent indicates the active development of integration of countries members of the BRICS and the strengthening of multipolarity. In conclusion, the author noted the prospects for further research on this topic and for conducting a network analysis of the interaction of the BRICS countries in the field of international educational cooperation, in the field of international air traffic (network of flights between countries), as well as in international finance (correspondent banking system).
