Ecology is one of those sciences that combines the data obtained by various sciences into one system, and is designed to reflect the actual connections between the diverse phenomena of the real world. The purpose of the training is to provide students with the competencies of highly qualified specialists with deep theoretical training, broad erudition, and modern scientific methods of research and analysis. As a result of mastering the program, graduate students acquire the necessary competencies to prepare a final work on the chosen topic, submit and defend a dissertation for the degree of candidate of Science/ PhD. The most important areas of professional activity of graduates of the program “Ecology” (biological, medical, chemical and technical sciences) — research, organizational and managerial, and teaching.

Educational Process

Students of the program receive extensive training that allows them to specialize in all areas of ecology and environmental management: system ecology, environmental monitoring, biotechnology, quality assessment of raw materials and products, human ecology and environmental hygiene, etc. Graduates receive the necessary competencies to work in government agencies, at various enterprises of industry and the fuel and energy complex, as well as in higher education. The program is interdisciplinary, enabling graduates to address the world's most pressing issues, such as climate change, water scarcity, natural resource demand management, production and consumption waste management, and to assess the environmental sustainability of various regions of the world.
