About the profession

The educational programme is aimed at people with higher medical education. The programme aims to train a highly qualified specialist - a cardiologist, to form and develop his/her competences in the field of cardiology in accordance with the professional standard, including the skills of using modern high-tech methods of diagnostics and treatment in cardiology, a specialist who can perform independent work in healthcare institutions or conduct private practice.

Training process

The training is conducted at the clinical sites of RUDN University with high-tech equipment. Classes at the RUDN Simulation Center that include theoretical and practical modules, in the Liver Research Center, the Chronic Heart Failure Center, with the use of interactive learning technologies and Internet communications, compose compulsory part of the training. Within the framework of the training, the students can participate in conducting scientific research, participate in clinical research, participate in international conferences, make presentations, publish research results.

Internship

Medical residents are distributed to the units of the clinical sites of the department, where, under the guidance of professors of the department, they have the opportunity both to expand their knowledge and see its application in practice. Students analyze clinical events and this provides the opportunity to obtain a wealth of clinical experience during residency training.
