Training process

The purpose of the residency programme on the specialization “Forensic examination” is to train a specialist in theoretical and practical issues of forensic medicine in the scope necessary to successfully perform the duties of a forensic scientist for working in the Bureau of Forensic Examination. The main objectives of the training of residents are to consolidate theoretical knowledge in forensic medicine, acquire professional skills and increase the level of practical skills of a forensic scientist in the Bureau of Forensic Examination. In the process of training at the department, residents undergo additional training in forensic histology.

Medical residents are distributed to the units of the clinical sites of the department, where, under the guidance of professors of the department, they have the opportunity both to expand their knowledge and see its application in practice. Students analyze clinical events and this provides the opportunity to obtain a wealth of clinical experience during residency training.
