The program is addressed to goal-oriented young people, whose long-term plans include making a career in a relevant field of international information exchange. In the difficult conditions of the multipolar world, the profession of an international journalist is very much in demand nowadays, especially in Europe and the United States. The interest in international journalism is growing steadily throughout the world, the media badly need international analysts.

The program presupposes the training of highly qualified specialists in the field of international journalism, who possess fundamental knowledge in the field of theory and practice of the modern media, regional studies, media economics, interstate relations, international copyright, sociology of mass communication, and are capable of independent scientific research and scientific and pedagogical activities . Particular attention is paid to foreign policy information activities as an integral part of international journalism, areas of the Russian Federation foreign policy, geopolitical situation in various regions of the world.

Educational Process

Thanks to the theoretical and practical disciplines of the program, bachelor's program graduates will acquire all the skills necessary for the practical work of an international journalist during the two years of the master's program.

Extensive international relations, the level of training and qualification of the faculty will allow future masters to successfully master innovative media technologies and methods of the profession of an international journalist.

Students have the opportunity to undergo practical training in national and international media, news agencies.


Graduates of the master's program become professional international journalists who can make analytical comments and forecasts taking into account modern information challenges. Therefore, they are in demand as correspondents, press secretaries, heads of departments in Russian and foreign news agencies, information services, international media, government agencies, public organizations, diplomatic missions.
