This program is aimed at training management personnel in the field of the media. That is why, in addition to acquiring professional journalistic skills, students gain knowledge in the field of forecasting, modeling and design of the media. The task of an effective manager in the field of mass communication is to understand how to manage information, to know how to organize the work of a creative team, to effectively use the methods of promotion and positioning of media on the media market.

Educational Process

The task of a significant part of the disciplines under study is the development not only of the student's theoretical knowledge base, but also of the creative potential of the future specialist, therefore, classes are often held in an interactive form. Thanks to the modular system of education, students can choose a part of the subjects to stuy that meet their personal professional interests.

Disciplines: Media Economics, Media Marketing, Media Management, Media Planning, Intercultural Communication, PR Counseling, Management Psychology, New Media, Sociology of the Media.

In addition to full-time professors, some of the disciplines are taught by visiting practitioners: representatives of leading media, advertising and PR agencies, heads of various divisions of companies.


Students participate in professional awards and competitions, often become winners of the "Crystal Arrow" competition.

RUDN TV, which ensures the possibility to manage the creation of the students' own television projects, leading Russian and international media and media holdings can be chosen as the base for the pracical training. Often, successful students are admitted as staff as a result of the internship.


The mass media (newspapers, magazines, television, radio broadcasting, information agencies, Internet portals), publishing houses, press services, advertising and public relations agencies can be considered potential employment opportunities.

RUDN graduates are in demand on the labor market and easily join Russian and foreign media: RIA Novosti, First Channel, Public Television of Russia, TV Center, RGRK Golos Rossii, Russia Today, VGTRK, etc.
