About the profession
Psychological and pedagogical education as a profession is an interdisciplinary area of pedagogical and psychological practice, which is intensively developing in various areas: inclusive, preschool, and vocational education. The profession allows conducting correctional and developmental classes, create a favorable psychological climate while teaching, promote professional self-determination and personal development.
"Pedagogy and psychology" line of study (master's program "Psychological and pedagogical education") is aimed at the academic, applied and practical areas of pedagogy and psychology. This allows graduates to gain knowledge on various approaches to modern educational process in educational organizations, skills of teaching in the multicultural educational space of the university, and a competence-based approach in education. Students implement practice-oriented psychological activities within the framework of consulting work in various fields, conduct trainings and help students adapt at the university.
Students undergo teaching practice at a partner university conducting master classes on the educational process psychological and pedagogical support. As part of the teaching practice, students conduct classes in psychology and pedagogy, develop psychological and pedagogical techniques to accompany students during studies.
Upon graduation masters can competently and efficiently teach in preschool, primary, secondary or higher education institutions, state, municipal and private organizations of continuing and vocational education (as teachers or tutors); in lyceums, gymnasiums and children's creativity centers; centers for advanced training of education, culture, health care workers, etc.; social rehabilitation centers, centers for diagnostics, psychological support and counseling; municipal and regional educational authorities; information, analytical and consulting centers implementing complex social and cultural projects and programs.
