Programme Focus

Crop losses caused by pests, diseases and weeds all over the world reduce 1/3 of general yield of agricultural crops. Climate and man-made influence on pest population, new varieties of pathogens in modern conditions, pest and pathogens resistance need scientific approach to plant protection. Students will gain skills and experience in research on non chemical pest control, plants and pests biochemical mutual relations, molecular mechanism of plant immunity and pest resistance.
