About the profession

Graduates, who have mastered the residency programme, study the problems of public importance, develop effective measures that allow healthcare management and supervision in this area, clarify the links between factors and public health, perform all kinds of expertise in order to obtain an all-encompassing view of sanitary and epidemiological conditions. The professional is competent in organizing the activities of supervisory bodies.

Training process

Theoretical and practical training of residents is held in structural subdivisions of RUDN University (classrooms and lecture halls of RUDN Institute of Medicine, computer classes, the Simulation Training Center of RUDN Institute of Medicine, RUDN Medical Center) and at the clinical sites of field-specific departments.

Internship

Medical residents are distributed to the units of the clinical sites of the department, where, under the guidance of professors of the department, they have the opportunity both to expand their knowledge and see its application in practice. Students analyze clinical events and this provides the opportunity to obtain a wealth of clinical experience during residency training.
