World History and Mass Communication
The aim of the program is to prepare ideologists of the new media generation. Graduates who combine historical competence in the field of collection, processing and production of information with journalists' competences of work with new technological tools. Universal specialists for work in different media, capable to producing professional content for different communication channels and specializing in historical, social, and political topics.
In this connection, the education process combines objects, deepening knowledge of historical orientation (current problems of historical research, interdisciplinary approaches in modern historical science, nature and contradictions of postindustrial society in Western countries) with more practical subjects of journalistic direction (psychology of mass communication, integrated analysis of information media technology). Undergraduates studying Western languages (English, French, Spanish, German); Oriental languages (Arabic, Chinese, Farsi).

Part of classroom teaching and practice profile held on the "RT" and "NIKA TV". Teaching and research practices are held in the archives at the Faculty of Scientific Institutes of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
Alumni, successfully mastered the educational program, can occupy the following positions: industry analyst, versatile reporter, Editor, Bild Editor, talk show host, columnist, researcher, lecturer.
