The focus is on the issues of calculation, design and operation of capital construction facilities, engineering networks and cities in general. In the modern world, great attention is paid to ecology and rational use of natural resources. Environmental thinking is becoming over the professional skills that determine economic, political and social development. Furthermore, the concept of “ecology” includes not only clean air, rivers with clear water, and the absence of waste, but also includes people’s health, sustainable economic development, and social opportunities. Currently, there is no project, which is carried out without an environmental assessment. Initially, ecology is the science of how living organisms interact with each other and with the environment, the word “ecology” is translated from ancient Greek as “doctrine of the house”.
Improving the environmental quality through the use of modern technologies, enhancing life quality and rational use of resources, are among the fastest growing areas of human activity.
The program “Environmental Engineering in Сonstruction”, implemented within the framework of two directions “Civil Engineering” and “Ecology and Nature Management” gives students the opportunity to become qualified specialists who will be able to develop, design, adjust, operate and improve environmental protection equipment and technology; organize environmental work at enterprises and territorial-industrial complexes; to carry out an examination of projects, technologies and productions in order to achieve maximum environmental safety of human economic activity and reduce the risk of anthropogenic impact on the environment.
Designer of new cities based on ecological technologies; specializes in the fields of construction, energy and environmental pollution control is a profession, which is becoming more necessary. The high-tech “green cities”, and the opportunity to combine obtaining a profession in two areas of training with learning a foreign language in the field of professional competence opens up employment prospects not only for leading Russian companies, but also internationally.
