About the Association

The RUDN Alumni Association in Lebanon was founded in 2013 and currently has about 200 members. The Association unites graduates of the RUDN University from different regions of the country.  

Main areas of the Association:

About the Association

The Palestinian Association of Graduates of Universities Russia and the CIS was established in 2007.

The Association is one of the non-governmental organizations in Palestine and an influential public organization.

Among the members of the Association are more than 1200 doctors, 800 engineers, 250 economists and many other professionals of different professions. Graduates of Russian (Soviet) higher educational institutions occupy high posts and positions in the government of the country, among them, there are ministers and deputy ministers, directors. The President of Palestine is a graduate of one of the Russian universities.

The Association participated in the activities of the Russian Center for Science and Culture in Bethlehem. The Palestinian Association of 16 people took part in the World Alumni Forum 2012. The Association occupies an important place in the development of relations between the Russian Federation and Palestine and regularly participates in organizing joint events with the Russian Center for Science and Culture.

About the Association

The Association of Graduates of USSR Higher Educational Institutions in Lebanon was founded in 1970 and has about 4,000 members both in Lebanon and abroad.

Main areas of the Association:

The main goal of the organization is to establish and maintain cooperation between graduates and universities of Russia and other CIS countries.

The educational institutions of the USSR have trained more than 10,000 specialists for Lebanon, and about 300 specialists have been trained by educational institutions of Azerbaijan.

In February 1970, the Association of Graduates of Educational Institutions of the Soviet Union was established in Lebanon, which united about 180 graduates in its ranks. The Association has its own charter and program and is officially recognized by the Lebanese competent authorities.

The Lebanese Association took part in the work of the Lebanese-USSR Friendship Society, organized screenings of Soviet films, meetings of delegations with alumni. The Association maintains links with Lebanon's public and youth organizations, as well as with graduates of educational institutions of other countries.

The Association is actively working to support and promote the Russian language, studying in Russia, etc.

About the Association

Club of Jordanian Graduates of Universities and Institutes of the former USSR named after Ibn Sina was established in 2000. About 1.5 thousand Jordanian specialists graduated from Soviet (Russian) universities. The most active graduates in the number of more than 400 people are currently members of the Club named after Ibn Sina, which was established in July 2000 and was initially headed by an interim committee.

The club regularly organizes cultural programs and celebrations dedicated to national and international memorable dates, often with the participation of the Ambassador of Russia, as well as consuls of other CIS countries.

Main areas of the Association:

The most important activity of the Club is to solve the problems of graduates with employment, work on international academic exchanges and the recognition of documents on the formation of specialists who graduated from the Soviet (Russian) educational institutions in the official institutions of Jordan.

In Jordan, the All-Arab meetings were twice held (in 2006 and 2016). This event attracted a large number of representatives from different countries of the Middle East, Africa, Asia and Europe. Amman is the headquarters of the Union of Arab Associations of Graduates of Russian (Soviet) Universities.

The Israeli Alumni Association was founded in March 2008. To date, the Association unites about 1000 graduates.

Main areas of the Association:

The main objectives of the Association are:

  • deepening and strengthening of cultural ties between foreign graduates of the universities of the Soviet Union;
  • strengthening of friendly relations with the Russian people through socio-cultural activities;
  • improving relations with the educational institutions of the Russian Federation and the Russian people through meetings;
  • strengthening relations with the Russian Cultural Center in Tel Aviv.

The Association actively participates in events dedicated to the Victory over Nazism, laying flowers at the monuments of Soviet soldiers, Day of Russia, participating in the activities of the Russian Cultural Center in Tel Aviv, holding cultural events in the framework of meetings between Palestinians and Israelis in Russian.

About the Association

The Association of Graduates of Russian Higher Education Institutions in Kyrgyzstan was established in 2010. The Association unites in its ranks more than twenty-five thousand members.

The main direction in the work of the Association is to attract more graduates to active participation in the economic, scientific, educational, social and cultural life of Kyrgyzstan, to restore contacts with Russian alma mater, to form close links with the Kyrgyz diaspora in Russia and further strengthen all-round ties with the fraternal people of Russia.

The main objective of the public association is to gather under its banner all those who have successfully graduated from a Russian (Soviet) higher educational institutions or studied in its postgraduate or doctoral studies in order to actively participate in the social life of our country and strengthen fraternal ties with the peoples of the Russian Federation.

Association of Kazakhstan Graduates and Friends of UDN-RUDN was established on March 17, 2008, and became the first organization in the CIS that unites graduates of the RUDN University, thereby launching the world network of graduates and friends of the RUDN University. To date, the number of graduates of the Association is about 450 graduates of the University. The Association of Graduates and Friends of the UDN-RUDN in Kazakhstan is headed by a graduate of the faculty of economics and law of the UDN named after P.Lumumba 1988 - Karim Kazimkanovich Masimov.

About the Association

Public Association "Azerbaijan Association of Graduates of Russian (Soviet) Higher Educational Institutions" was registered by the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Azerbaijan on March 31, 2010. To date, the number of graduates of the association of about 750 people. "RAMMAA" is in official consultative relations with UNESCO, the chairman of the association is a validly authorized participant in the long-term program of information exchanges and international cooperation of graduates of Russian (Soviet) universities in the field of education, science and culture - the "World League of Graduates". The Association cooperates with the Department of International Cooperation of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation, the Russkiy Mir Foundation, the Embassy of the Russian Federation and the Rossotrudnichestvo office in the Republic of Azerbaijan.

About the Association

The Association of Sri Lankan graduates of the universities of the socialist countries was established in November 1966 by the first graduates who arrived in Sri Lanka after studying in the USSR. To date, the Association includes more than 1,000 graduates.

The Association of Sri Lankan graduates of higher educational institutions of socialist countries unites the majority of graduates of Russian (Soviet) universities in the country. The main activity of the Association is related to the employment of graduates and the protection of their professional interests. In 1990, the Association had an office (headquarters), from that moment the meetings of the Association members became regular (weekly).

The Association of Pakistani Graduates of Universities of Russia and other CIS countries was established in 2012, it has branches in Islamabad, Lahore, Faisalabad, Peshawar and other cities of the country. The association includes more than 300 graduates residing in the country.

The main objectives of the Association of Pakistani Graduates are:

Strengthening of mutual relations and working contacts between the graduates, who studied in higher educational institutions of Russia and the CIS.  A solution of the problem of international recognition of diplomas of universities of Russia and CIS, as well as employment of our graduates in Pakistan.

About the Association

“Mitra Kunj” is an important part of the scientific, technical and cultural elite of Nepalese society. The unification of Nepalese graduates from the universities of the Soviet Union and the CIS countries - Mitra Kunj (Friends Club) was established in Nepal in 1967 to protect the civil rights and professional interests of graduates of Soviet universities. After the reorganization of the association, it was registered with the Ministry of Justice of Nepal as a public organization, advocating the development of professional and educational ties and cooperation of Nepalese graduates with higher educational institutions of the CIS countries.

"Mitra Kunj" is the largest and most active among organizations of Nepalese graduates of foreign universities and enjoys significant influence in the country.

The association "Mitra Kunj" publishes an annual magazine and a regularly updated handbook of graduates. In the current conditions, the activities of the Friends Club are aimed at providing graduates of the CIS countries with assistance and advisory services in employment, creating conditions for their professional and scientific growth, recruiting Nepalese students to study in the Russian universities on a compensatory basis, developing cooperation with the Russian Science Center and culture in Kathmandu in order to promote the activation of Russian-Nepalese cultural, educational, scientific, technical and business ties.

  The Friends Club plays an important role in the world movement of graduates and primarily in Asia. The first Asian Alumni Meeting was held in 2000 in the capital of Nepal. "

"Mitra Kunj" is a member of the International Coordinating Council "INKORVUZ-XXI", with which it concluded the Agreement on Cooperation and the Treaty on the recruitment of Nepalese citizens to study at Russian universities on a commercial basis. The coordinator of Mitra Kunj in Russia is the Organization of Nepalese entrepreneurs in the CIS countries.  Within the framework of "Mitra Kunj" there is the active Association of Friends of the RUDN University, which includes about 500 graduates. This Association also publishes its annual magazine.

The Mongolian Association of Graduates of the Russian (Soviet) Higher Educational Institutions "Mavsuz" was established in 1972 and currently has about 50 thousand members.

The main task of the association is:

The Indian Association of Graduates and Friends of the RUDN University is a non-profit association. The association was founded on December 15, 2009.

About the Association

Association of Vietnamese Graduates of the Higher Educational Schools of the former Soviet Union  (Vinakorvuz) was established in 1987 and today has about 50 thousand members of the Association both in Vietnam and abroad.

The total number of highly qualified personnel trained in the Soviet Union for Vietnam is more than 50,000. Today these specialists are the colour of the country's scientific, technical and cultural intelligence.  In 1983, under the Central Board of the Vietnamese-Soviet Friendship Society, a Committee for Relations with Graduates of Educational Establishments of the Soviet Union was established. In 1996, this Committee was renamed the Alumni Relations Center, under the auspices of which the  Association of Vietnamese Graduates of the Educational Schools of the former USSR and the CIS Countries (Vinakornvuz) began to operate.  VINAKORVUZ has a rich experience in holding traditional annual meetings of graduates of Soviet (Russian) educational institutions. They are attended by thousands of graduates who express their sincere gratitude to the Russian higher school, its professors and teachers for their invaluable assistance to Vietnam in the training of national personnel.

About the Association

The Association of Soviet Graduates in Bangladesh was established on August 7, 1982. The Association has an executive committee consisting of 25 members, about 350 permanent members of the Association and the total number of members of the Association is more than 1000 people.  The Association of Graduates of Soviet (Russian) Universities is one of the most influential public non-governmental organizations in Bangladesh. Among the members of the organization are more than six hundred engineers, four hundred doctors, about two hundred economists and more than four hundred specialists in various professions.  

The main activities of the Association are:

  • selection of students for studying in Russia;
  • resolving issues of scholarships;
  • development of mutually beneficial cooperation between our countries;
  • development of the national economy, culture and education.

The Association of Alumni of Soviet (Russian) Universities occupies an important position in the development of relations between the Russian Federation and Bangladesh. The Association regularly participates in organizing joint events with the Russian Center of Science and Culture.

About 100 students from Bangladesh are sent to Russia every year to study at universities. Among them, 10 students are selected with the participation of the Alumni Association.

About the Association

The Afghan Association of CIS Graduates was established in 2014 and today has about 600 members both in Afghanistan and outside of it.

The first and main goal of the Association is to establish links between Afghan specialists who have received education in the CIS countries. The Association is called to serve as a coordinator between Afghan specialists at the level of counties, provinces, departments.

Also, the purpose of the Afghan Association is to coordinate, assist in the adaptation and employment of highly qualified specialists who have completed their master's and postgraduate studies in the CIS countries and have sufficient experience in various fields.

One of the priorities of the association is to establish contacts with the universities of the CIS countries in order to send Afghan students to these countries.

The Polish Association of Graduates of Foreign Higher Educational Institutions was founded in 2014 and today the number of graduates of the association is more than 100 people.

The Association is a non-governmental organization. The main direction of the Association's work is the creation and development of cooperation in the scientific and technical, educational, cultural, artistic, sports, tourism and economic fields. The Association is focused on maintaining the friendship of the Polish people and the peoples of the world.

The Moroccan Alumni Association of Universities and Institutions of the former USSR (AMLUIS) was founded in 1977 and today there are more than 1000 graduates in the association.

The main goal of the Moroccan Alumni Association of Universities and Institutions of the former USSR (AMLUIS) is to protect the rights and professional interests of its members. The Association has branches in various cities, in particular -Rabat, Casablanca, Meknes.

The Association organizes the following courses:  Russian language, piano plays, drawing and painting. Each year the Association holds vernissages, exhibitions of a different focus, also the meetings are held on the Graduate's Day, and events are organized during various holidays.

About the Association

The Egyptian Association of University Graduates of Russia and other CIS countries was established in 2001 and has about 400 members, while there are 10,000 graduates in total in the country.  In recent years, the Alumni Association of Egypt has actively maintained contact with the Russian Center for Science and Culture, has been practising new forms of cooperation - organizing seminars to market the achievements of Russian science and industry. Graduates actively participate in organizing seminars and drawing up programs for meetings of Russian specialists. Members of the Association provide assistance in translating meetings and negotiations into Arabic. Graduates of universities in Russia and other republics of the former Soviet Union hold a number of leading posts in Egyptian institutes, universities, research centres, factories and other enterprises.

About the Association

After the dissolution of the USSR, the activities of the existing Association of Chilean graduates practically ceased. In November 2001, the National Alumni Assembly was held, at which a new composition of the Directory of the General Alumni Association was elected. At the same time, the clubs, groups and associations of alumni that existed in the country were preserved and not disbanded.

In 2004, an official legal registration of the association of alumni took place.

Main areas of the Association:

The association of graduates is engaged in versatile activities. The main activity of the Association is the unification of graduates of Russian (Soviet) universities, the development of relations between Russia and other republics of the former USSR and Chile, and acquaint the Chilean public with the culture, language, history, geography, education and political activities of Russia and other republics. The Colombian Association of Russian, Eastern European, Central Asian and Cuban University Graduates (ACER-SOYUZ) was established in 2011 to bring together specialists, graduates from Russia's higher educational institutions, Eastern Europe, Central Asia and Cuba. About the Association

The Dominican Association of Alumni of Russia, Eastern Europe, Central Asia and Cuba was founded in 2000.

Main areas of the Association:

The objectives of the Association are the development and strengthening of relations with Russia and Russian universities in the field of culture and art, science and technology, education and tourism. Union of all professionals - graduates of higher educational institutions of the former Soviet republics, the Russian Federation, Eastern Europe, Central Asia and Cuba. Organization of various social events in favour of representatives of the needy strata of the population. Interaction and cooperation with similar associations of other countries.  An important example in the activity of the Association was the establishment of a small library of fiction and scientific literature in Russian, English, French and Spanish. Undoubtedly, an important factor for the Association was the publication of the newspaper in Russian and Spanish - "Post-AESEPAS". The purpose of the newspaper is to inform graduates from Russia and the citizens of the Russian Federation about the activities of the Association and the Russian Consulate in the Dominican Republic, about important events related to Russia, thus contributing to the reader's interest in establishing links between Russia and the Dominican Republic.

Members of the Association together with the Russian Consulate create the Center of Slavic Culture. The Center employs Russian language courses, clubs of Russian folk dances, Russian theatre, music and literature.

About the Association

Association of Haitian Graduates in the Russian Federation and the former USSR was founded on April 26, 1997, in the bookstore "Books without Borders".

The main objectives of the Association are: to stimulate and encourage educational, economic, scientific, cultural and recreational actions and activities aimed at harmonizing and strengthening relations between Russia and Haiti.

To achieve this goal, the Association of Haitian Alumni of the Russian Federation and the former USSR solves the following tasks:

  • the increase of competence and increase of knowledge of its members, in various fields and specializations;
  • dissemination of information on professional training in Russia and other countries of the former USSR;
  • organization of work and provision of access to the centre for scientific research and educational documentation;
  • conducting a study of the internal markets of Haiti and Russia to facilitate trade between the countries;
  • the increase of prestige and strengthening of the status of Russian (Soviet) documents on education in Haiti.
  • study of various achievements of Russia and other countries of the former USSR in science, culture and art;
  • solving non-standard tasks in the field of the Association's activities.
