Maslenitsa festival

Maslenitsa festival is a funny way to say goodbye to the winter and to meet the spring. Since the dawn of time people considered the spring as a beginning of a new life and honored the Sun which gave the life and forces to everything that moves. The RUDN University students meet the spring with merry round dances, games, and dancings. The most favorite part of this festival is the eating of pancakes and burning of the winter effigy finishes festivities.
