The annual festival “Planet South-West” is held in May when fountains of the university start working and the warm weather is favorable to walk.
The annual festival “Planet South-West” is held in May when fountains of the university start working and the warm weather is favorable to walk. All students’ communities get together at the square of the university and demonstrate their national customs, traditions, languages and attributes, costumes and dishes in front of guests. Every guest can try and appreciate fried black armyworms from Congo, Moroccan couscous, Peruvian coffee, and other dishes and drinks from all over the world. The festival is held since 1987 and it is popular not only among students and employees but also among guests of RUDN, and this are veterans of the Great Patriotic War who are honored with a particular attention.
