Anatoly Skalny, Head of RUDN Department of Medical elements studies won the Vernadsky prize

A.Skalny’s project «Elements status of the population of Russia” won the nomination “Science for ecology». Professor Skalny explains how to live a long life and have a strong immune system. He studies human hair that contains information about the owner.

A.Skalny’s project «Elements status of the population of Russia” won the nomination “Science for ecology».

Professor Skalny explains how to live a long life and have a strong immune system. He studies human hair that contains information about the owner – where and how he or she lives and works and what the owner eats.

Hair study helps understand what good substances the owner lacks, how to correct the elements in the human body considering his or her place of living and ecological situation and what economic effect each Russian region may have.

Professor Skalny, DSc, is President of the Center for Biotic Medicine, Vice-President of the UNESCO Institute of Microelements, Head of RUDN Department of medical elements studies. His method is recognized all over the world.

The national ecological prize is one of the largest projects of Vernadsky foundation, which has been realized for already 14 years. The contest has 10 nominations and traditionally the most significant is “Science for ecology” that is a clear reflection of Vernadsky’s ideas. This year the jury reviewed 247 projects from 60 RF sublects.

RUDN University entered the top-30 "greenest" universities in the world according to GreenMetric 2021 ranking

RUDN has risen to the 28th position in the international ranking of environmentally friendly universities UI GreenMetric 2021 remaining the “greenest” university in Russia. This is the best result in the history of the university’s ranking participation since 2011. The list of the “greenest” universities was published on December 14. There are 956 universities from 80 countries, including 54 universities from Russia. The goal of the UI GreenMetric — assess universities according to campus development ecological sustainability and the energy-saving model of university management.
