9 March, RUDN representatives met Evans Kidero, Governor of Nairobi province. The talks were aimed at attracting the most talented youth to study in RUDN. The parties agreed to sign a Memorandum of cooperation during the visit of Mr.Kidero to RUDN University.
At the meeting with Paul Vainaina, Rector of Kenyan University, the second largest HEI in the republic, the two universities made a decision to sign a frame memorandum of cooperation in priority directions – engineering, mathematics, physics and medicine.
Another result of the visit was signing a protocol of intentions to recognize medical postdoc degrees, which can become a first step to be practiced in Africa and will allow to enroll more African students to medical residency.
10 March, the delegation met Peter Mfibi, Rector of Nairobi University to discuss inter-university cooperation and signing a memorandum to enroll talented youth to Master’s and postdoc programs in priority directions. A lot of professors at Nairobi University are RUDN graduates.
RUDN representatives also visited Multimedia University of Kenya to discuss the previously signed memorandum of training Master and postdoc students.
In the course of the visit RUDN representatives together with “Kenruss” agency participated in the XIX international educational exhibition in Nairobi, where they presented educational programs and majors.
In 2023, the Public Council of the Russian Ministry of Education and Science conducted an independent assessment of the quality of conditions for educational activities. More than 300 universities and branches provided information on the quality of education.
Tamara Ghazaryan is known to many at RUDN University. She “races,” as she herself says, around the university, participates in a dozen student events and can get to almost every location herself. Only a few locations need the help of her friends or team. But it was not always so.
