“Current problems of Turkology: language-literature-culture”
RUDN hosts International Scientific-Practical Conference “Current problems of Turkology: language-literature-culture” on 17-18 November, 2016.
The main aim of the event is to boost humanities scientists and the community to deal with issues related to language, literature, history, sociocultural and sociopolitical development of Turkic-speaking peoples in the context of spiritual and cultural consolidation.
Discussion on current problems of Turkology is focused on following themes:
- Languages and cultures of Turkic peoples today (theoretical and applied aspects);
- National literature and the Russian-language branch of Turkic literature (in the past and today);
- Interpreters of the Silk Road. Translation from Turkic languages and into them.
- Cultural tourism in countries of the Great Silk Road.
Influential scientists, representatives of different branches of science and diplomatic corps, public figures, expert-teachers, students from different countries, from Russian regions take part in the Conference.
Co-organisers: Baku State University, the L.N.Gumilyov Eurasian National University,Kazan (Volga region) Federal University, Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, Kyrgyz National University, Uzbekistan State University of World Languages.

The aaniversary medal to the 100th anniversary of V.F. Stanis is awarded to RUDN current and ex-employees and students for: significant contribution to the university development; long-standing commitment to maintaining ties with the university; fruitful cooperation of Russian and foreign organizations, scientists and public figures with the university.
RUDN University employees’ work and contribution to the development of the university cannot go unappreciated. The Ministry of Science and Higher Education of Russia recognizes talented university employees and present them with various departmental and state awards.
In 2023, the Public Council of the Russian Ministry of Education and Science conducted an independent assessment of the quality of conditions for educational activities. More than 300 universities and branches provided information on the quality of education.
