Days of the Russian language and Russian culture in Belgium. October 18-23, Peoples’ Friendship University of Russia under the order of the Federal Agency on the Commonwealth of Independent States’ affairs, compatriots living abroad and on international humanitarian cooperation (Rossotrudnichestvo) held days of the Russian language and Russian culture in Belgium. The given event is aimed at promoting language, culture and educational demands’ satisfaction of the Russian compatriots living abroad, stimulating Belgium citizens' interest in learning of the Russian language and studying in Russian, interest in Russian culture, science and education. This event is also aimed at providing scientific-methodological support of the experts in the areas of the Russian language and Russia culture. The leading Russian scientists in the area of teaching Russian as a foreign language, bilingualism, intercultural communication took part in the arrangement of the event. Days of the Russian language took place in three Belgium cities: Brussels, Mons and Leven. The program included a wide range of pedagogical actions for teachers, compatriots and anyone interested in studying Russian: lectures, master classes, scientific and methodical seminars, round tables. Within the program literary and musical performances also were held. Russian experts held individual consultations on teaching Russian, psychology, pedagogy and intercultural communication problems during this period. Participants could get acquainted with new and innovative teaching materials and programs.
