Dialogue of civilizations: East – West

April 24-25, as part of the scientific agenda “Dialogue of civilizations: East – West” at the Faculty of Humanitarian and social sciences on the base of the department of philosophic history and the Center for the humanitarian education of Philosophical comparative studies an All- Russian academic conference “Islam as unity in diversity” was held. The complex debate on problems of Islamic studies in cross-disciplinary prospect took place at the conference. Experts in different branches of humanities knowledge participated in the conference. Problems of fundamental bases of Islamic culture understanding in the broad sense of the word and developing contacts between Russian researchers were discussed.
