Dominicans started talking Russian in Santo-Domingo University
In the centre of Higuey, Dominican Republic, students of the Autonomous University of Santo-Domingo got their diplomas.
In the centre of Higuey, Dominican Republic, students of the Autonomous University of Santo-Domingo got their diplomas.The students speak Russian thanks to professors of the RUDN University Philological faculty- E.Baryshnikova and I.Rubakova, who have currently taught more than 60 students majoring in “Tourism and Hospitality business”. Currently almost all of them have found jobs since it is very important to know Russian. Local hotels ask for new staff with the knowledge of Russian.
Local teachers have also undergone continuing education programs and upgraded their skills of teaching Russian as a foreign language.
We congratulate our professors and wish them success in promoting Russian in the world!
This cooperation was made possible due to the initiative of the Ministry of Tourism of the Dominican Republic, Ministry of Higher Education, Technology and Science as well as agreement of the Autonomous University of Santo-Domingo and Peoples’ friendship university of Russia.
The aaniversary medal to the 100th anniversary of V.F. Stanis is awarded to RUDN current and ex-employees and students for: significant contribution to the university development; long-standing commitment to maintaining ties with the university; fruitful cooperation of Russian and foreign organizations, scientists and public figures with the university.
RUDN University employees’ work and contribution to the development of the university cannot go unappreciated. The Ministry of Science and Higher Education of Russia recognizes talented university employees and present them with various departmental and state awards.
In 2023, the Public Council of the Russian Ministry of Education and Science conducted an independent assessment of the quality of conditions for educational activities. More than 300 universities and branches provided information on the quality of education.
