In November, at the RUDN Ecological faculty Youth Scientific Conference "Environmental Problems of the Third Millennium" was held.
Experts and young professionals discussed the problems of human ecology and biosystems of separate regions of the world, proposed options for green construction and solution of pollution problems of soil and water resources. Special attention was paid to the legal and economic basics of nature use and tendency of environmental education and policy. The most pressing issues were discussed in the sections "Ecology of water resources: monitoring, pollution and recovery" and "Energy - saving, eco - friendly chemical technology processes."
The purpose of the event was the review and discussion of vital environmental issues, students’ engagement in science, awakening the young generation's interest in new scientific knowledge, exchange of best practices experience of scientific research in the field of ecology and related sciences.
The key task was to unite young people from different regions of Russia, CIS countries and the near and far abroad, specializing in scientific issues of environmental protection.
The conference was attended by 142 young scientists from 17 countries: Algeria, Belarus, Vietnam, Ghana, Guatemala, Guinea, Italy, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Cote d'ivoire, Mexico, Nigeria, Russia, Syria, Tajikistan, Turkey and Estonia.
The collection of scientific works in foreign languages was published as a result of the conference.
The aaniversary medal to the 100th anniversary of V.F. Stanis is awarded to RUDN current and ex-employees and students for: significant contribution to the university development; long-standing commitment to maintaining ties with the university; fruitful cooperation of Russian and foreign organizations, scientists and public figures with the university.
RUDN University employees’ work and contribution to the development of the university cannot go unappreciated. The Ministry of Science and Higher Education of Russia recognizes talented university employees and present them with various departmental and state awards.
In 2023, the Public Council of the Russian Ministry of Education and Science conducted an independent assessment of the quality of conditions for educational activities. More than 300 universities and branches provided information on the quality of education.
