International competition "Exemplary knowledge of the Russian language"

Faculty of Advanced Training for Peoples' Friendship University professors of Russia held the final stage of the international competition "Exemplary knowledge of the Russian language" Faculty of Advanced Training of Russian Language teachers from the Peoples' Friendship University of Russia held the final stage of the international competition "Exemplary knowledge of the Russian language" among school teachers of Russian language and literature from the CIS countries (Armenia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan) and Abkhazia, Transdniestria and, South Ossetia. The competition was held under the aegis of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation in the framework of activities aimed at promotion of the Russian language. 15 people participated in the competition. Teachers of the Russian language from the CIS countries presented an essay on the role of the Russian language in their lives, their best lessons, extra-curricular activities, shared pedagogical findings in the teaching of the Russian language, they also took the time to discuss issues that are important for both Russian and foreign teachers - philologists. The warm, friendly atmosphere of competition helped reveal the abilities of each participant. As a result of performances, the winners turned out to be : N. Manukyan (Armenia) - I place, M. Smirnov (Transdniestrian Moldavian Republic) - II place, N. Aldonova (Kazakhstan) - III place. Contest participants expressed the hope that such events will become a tradition of the Peoples' Friendship University of Russia and further promote the Russian language in foreign countries.
