Medicaments in obstetrics and gynecology

The second edition of “The List of the medicaments in obstetrics and gynecology” The second edition of “The List of the medicaments in obstetrics and gynecology” by prof. V. Radzinsky has come out. The first edition (2011) turned to be asked-for by the professional community of the obstetricians-gynecologists as strictly regulated guidance of the pharmacotherapy of female disorders and what’s more important is the complications’ treatment during pregnancy and childbirth. The realization by the doctors of the increasing responsibility for wrong usage of medicines, polypragmasy, prescription of needless or contra-indicated drugs to pregnant women prompted the necessity of a new up to date edition with the indications of the existing in the country and in the world information about validity/ failure to prove the use or harm of the pharmacotherapy’s remedies. As well as the first edition, the list is written according to the material of the main document of the country that regulates all the pharmaco-therapeutic measures. This document is the Public register of the medicaments of the Russian Federation. The purpose of this edition is to provide the safety of medicaments’ use for the patients, to prevent the most typical mistakes in pharmacotherapy, first of all during pregnancy. Extra materials that broaden out the concepts about the peculiarities of the medicaments are on CD. The edition is aimed at obstetricians-gynecologists, graduates, interns, students of the Advanced Training Faculties with a specialization in obstetrics and gynaecology and senior students of the medical higher education institutions. The List is one of the first editions published according to the Development strategy of medicine in the Russian Federation till 2025 that was developed both by the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation and professional scientific community.
