Meetings with the representatives of diplomatic missions at RUDN
In March, Larisa Efremova, Vice-Rector for international academic mobility met representatives of diplomatic missions of 13 Latin American countries. Members of university staff also participated in the meeting.

The parties discussed RUDN admission campaign 2017/2018 and potential cooperation in this field.
Ms.Efremova told about the numbers of students from the region. She also presented some postdoc programs of the Agrarian and Technological Institute, Engineering Academy and the Faculty of Science and told about RUDN Passport department.
A.Khokholikov, Vice director of the Latin American department of RF MFA took part in the meeting noting the growing interest of Latin American students to studying in Russia and supporting RUDN initiative to hold annual meetings with the representatives of diplomatic missions at the university.
Representatives of the diplomatic missions talked about the problems international students faced when studying in Russia and expressed their desire to continue cooperation with the university for training qualified specialists and strengthening relations in the field of education.

21 March, Larisa Efremova, Vice-Rector for international academic mobility met representatives of diplomatic missions of Asian countries - Bangladesh, Brunei, Cambodia, China, Indonesia, Laos, Mongolia, Myanmar, China, Pakistan, Philippines and Vietnam.
Vice-Rector spoke about enrollment of students from Asia in 2016/2017 and their academic performance as well as problems they face. This year we have 808 new students from Азии, among them 353 are financed by the state, while 455 are contractual students. They mostly major in engineering, medicine and humanities.
The parties discussed additional quotas for Master’s and postdoc studies, foreign degrees recognition rules and nuances of entering university with foreign degrees.

In March, Larisa Efremova, Vice-Rector for international academic mobility met representatives of diplomatic missions of 24 African countries to discuss students’ enrollment, their integration and further employment. They also talked about involvement of African graduates’ associations in active social work.
Ms.Efremova showed a presentation “Training highly qualified staff for African countries to the South of Sahara”. University representatives answered questions on international students’ stay in Russia and RF migration legislationand presented a few educational programs.
Diplomats expressed their wish for improved medical services rendered to international students and offered their help in solving problems.
The parties agreed to continue cooperation in the field of education
The aaniversary medal to the 100th anniversary of V.F. Stanis is awarded to RUDN current and ex-employees and students for: significant contribution to the university development; long-standing commitment to maintaining ties with the university; fruitful cooperation of Russian and foreign organizations, scientists and public figures with the university.
RUDN University employees’ work and contribution to the development of the university cannot go unappreciated. The Ministry of Science and Higher Education of Russia recognizes talented university employees and present them with various departmental and state awards.
In 2023, the Public Council of the Russian Ministry of Education and Science conducted an independent assessment of the quality of conditions for educational activities. More than 300 universities and branches provided information on the quality of education.
