RUDN University becomes a federal innovation platform in the priority area “Informatics. Digitalization”
RUDN University was accepted into the FIS list in the direction of “Informatics. Digitization”. This became possible thanks to the implementation of the project “Development of the digital educational environment for pre-university training of international students” on the basis of the Digital Preparatory Faculty. The project was created to popularize the Russian language and Russian education in the world.
According to Shakhnoza Sultanova, Director of the Digital Preparatory Faculty of RUDN University, the ruslovo.rudn.ru platform is a digital resource that has no analogues.
“During 2.5 years, more than 12 thousand foreigners from 61 countries have been able to start learning Russian thanks to the digital educational resources of RUDN University. Now our multilingual educational platform allows immersing yourself in the world of the Russian language from the zero level and studying it up to the second certification level — B2. We plan that next year we will have more general education disciplines available for study in the digital format. We are glad that we will be able to continue the development of the project at the federal level,” said Shakhnoza Sultanova, Director of the Digital Preparatory Faculty of RUDN University.
The goal of the project is to popularize the Russian language and the Russian system of higher education among foreign audiences. The main idea of the project is to provide foreign citizens with the opportunity to learn Russian and prepare for studying at any Russian university while in their country of residence.
International students can save time and money without losing the quality of education thanks to modern educational methods, which include regular classes with RUDN teachers, self-study on the platform and tutor support in their native language. RUDN experts will also strengthen the association of Russian universities that teach foreign students using distance technologies. The project is designed for the period from 2023 to 2030.
