The 55th anniversary of RUDN University in Ethiopia

The 55th anniversary of RUDN University in Ethiopia The RUDN University delegation including E.L.Schesnyak, the RUDN University first Vice-rector and V.V.Timoshek, RUDN University Rectorate Adviser visited Ethiopia. The visit of RUDN University members to Ethiopia is confined to the RUDN University 55th anniversary. The delegation held a solemn meeting with the RUDN University graduates of various years and got acquainted with the activity of Russian Cultural Centre. The representatives of the RUDN University administration paid visits to several Ethiopian universities. In particular, they visited the Addis Ababa Science and Technology University (AASTU), where they had a meeting with the AASTU administration headed by its president D. Sc. Nurulen Teferi, which resulted in the signing of a protocol on cooperation between the two universities. The RUDN University delegation also had on opportunity to meet and discuss different issues with the AASTU teachers, many of whom are graduates of Russian universities. E. Schesnyak and V. Timoshek visited the University of Gondar, where they had negotiations with Vice-President of the University Professor Yinges Muche Alem, which resulted in the signing of an agreement on cooperation and exchange in the spheres of science and education. The meetings and negotiations of the RUDN University delegation with the Ethiopian colleagues were assisted by Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Russia to Ethiopia V. Tkachenko and the representative of Rossotrudnichestvo in the Republic of Ethiopia V. Konnik.
