Belarusian schoolchildren want to become doctors, linguists, economists and international specialists

November 22, the RUDN delegation participated in the project “Education in Russia. Your key to success”, uniting 47 leading universities in Russia. The project was organized by the Representative Office of Rossotrudnichestvo in the Republic of Belarus.

More than 100 schoolchildren took part in the online presentation, showing particular interest in the areas of training of the Institute of Medicine, the Faculty of humanities and social sciences, the Philological and Economic faculties of RUDN University. Most often they were interested in “General Medicine”, “International Relations”, “Linguistics” and “Economics”.

RUDN representatives spoke about the rules for admitting foreign citizens, the participation in RUDN Open Olympiad and international competitions.

Today, 173 Belarusian citizens are studying at RUDN, 40% of them have state-funded places. Most students from Belarus choose General Medicine, Advertising and Public Relations, Law, Dentistry and International Relations. Since 2019, the number of Belarusian students admitted to RUDN University has almost tripled.

RUDN delegation comprised:

  • Anna Dvoryadkina—Head of the Department of the CIS and Baltic Countries of the Department for Recruitment and Support of Foreign Students;
  • Anzhelika Atayeva — 1st category specialist of the Department of the CIS and Baltic countries of the Department for Recruitment and Support of Foreign Students.

Within the framework of the quota of the Government of the Russian Federation, which is provided for the Republic of Belarus, the quota for 2024 is 1,300 people. Registration on the site is carried out until December 1, 2023.

Expanding Educational Cooperation: RUDN University Hosts BRICS Network University International Governing Board Meeting

The BRICS Network University International Governing Board is the main coordinating body of the educational consortium. Russia is chairing BRICS in 2024. The event took place in the run-up to the meeting of the Ministers of Education of the countries of the association. The meeting is to take place in Kazan on 11 June.
