Expert of the International Association of Universities, Eva Egron-Polak, visits RUDN

April 23, a meeting with Ms. Eva Egron-Polak, an expert of the International Association of Universities (UIA), former Secretary General of UIA, was held at RUDN at a meeting of the University Management Commission (UMC).

The purpose of the meeting is to assess the state of the processes of internationalization of the RUDN University in the focus of the implementation of the UIA project "Achievement of Comprehensive Internationalization".

Eva Egron-Polak and rector of the Peoples' Friendship University Vladimir Filippov discussed the essence of the UIA project, its goals and challenges in the context of the overall process of internationalization of higher education in relation to RUDN. The question of the strategic development of RUDN according to the Roadmap for 2016-2020 was also studied. Ms. Egron-Polak held a consultation on a number of important administrative issues.

The UMC meeting ended with a discussion of the upcoming meeting of the members of the UIA Steering Committee and the RUDN Steering Committee in order to monitor the project implementation. The event is scheduled for October 2-4, 2019.

Plus one language in the Russian State Library collection: RUDN students expand linguistic horizons

RUDN students of economics returned from Zambia not only overwhelmed with emotions, ideas and impressions, but also brought something valuable — an ethnic book that added a new language to the Russian State Library — the Bemba language! Thanks to the book, the total number of languages in the RSL has increased to 269.

In August, RUDN University and Rosatom held the first Meeting of Alumni of Russian and Soviet universities “Contribution of graduates to the development of the region” in Myanmar. 60 participants from Russia, Myanmar and Bangladesh shared their experience in the fields of nuclear technology, energy and information technology. The meeting took place at the Atomic Technology Information Center.
