15 - 20 August,  Mr.Rafael Sanchez Cardenas, Vice-Minister of higher education, science and technology of the Dominican Republic visits RUDN.

Peoples’ friendship university of Russia has been actively cooperating with the Dominican Republic in the sphere of education. In February 2017, RUDN and the Ministry of higher education, science and technology of the Dominican Republic signed an agreement providing reimbursement of tuition, accommodation, medical insurance, meals and transportation expenses per academic year for 30 Dominican student by the Ministry.

In June 2017, RUDN and Santo-Domingo Autonomous University signed a cooperation program for 2017-2018, in particular envisaging creation of RUDN Center for the Russian language and pre-university training at the Faculty of Humanities Santo-Domingo University.

On the agenda of the coming visit – discussing issues of training staff for the Dominican Republic in priority branches of economy of the country.
