I studied in Spain for six months. During this time, I collected materials for my dissertation research in libraries and archives. For more than a year I was waiting for the graduation and was immensely happy that it ended so successfully! The news came on the eve of my birthday, and I also regarded receiving a diploma as a gift from the Spanish side,” says Victoria Kuznetsova, Ph.D (Historical sciences), senior lecturer at the Department of Foreign Languages, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, RUDN University.
Victoria Kuznetsova defended her diploma in Spanish.
“It was very important for the Balearic University that I included in the study the work of the Ramon Llull Institute, which plays an important role in the promotion of the Catalan language in the world and in Russia in particular. I had to learn the Catalan language on my own in order to read literature, communicate with graduate students and university professors,” saysVictoria Kuznetsova.
Victoria had two supervisors. From the Russian side — Marina Moseykina, Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor, Head of the Department of History of Russia at RUDN University, from the Spanish side — Doctor of Science Anthony Marimon.
“Victoria is a graduate of the Department of Public Administration, she had to work very hard and master new disciplines as part of her postgraduate studies in the field of Historical Sciences and Archeology. But she successfully coped with everything thanks to her diligence, determination, desire to learn new things, constantly moving forward. Brilliant knowledge of the Spanish language helped Victoria to fulfill the scientific tasks assigned to her and also successfully communicate with representatives of the Spanish academic community,” says Marina Moseykina.
