RUDN University discusses cooperation prospects with delegations from Nicaragua and Serbia
During the meeting, representatives from Nicaragua expressed interest in developing partnerships in the fields of advertising and public relations, journalism, artificial intelligence, academic exchange, and joint educational programs.
Daniel Edmundo Ortega Murillo, Media Coordinator of the Communication and Citizenship Council of the Republic of Nicaragua, invited the RUDN delegation to visit Nicaragua by the end of 2025 to explore future collaboration with the National Council of University Rectors of Nicaragua. A return visit by council representatives to RUDN University is also planned.
The Serbian delegation was headed by Boris Bratina, Minister of Information and Telecommunications of the Republic of Serbia, and Milica Đurđević-Stamenkovski, Minister of Labor, Employment, Veteran and Social Affairs. During the meeting, it was noted that over the past three years, RUDN researchers have co-authored 70 publications with their Serbian counterparts.
The guests expressed their interest in further developing relations with RUDN University in education and research, particularly in telecommunications and artificial intelligence. The parties agreed that RUDN University would hold a presentation on Russian education in Serbian schools.
Students from Nicaragua and Serbia at RUDN University
Throughout its history, RUDN University has trained more than 360 specialists from Nicaragua in the fields of humanities, medicine, agriculture, economics, and law. Over 100 specialists from Serbia have also graduated from RUDN, majoring in philology, engineering, economics, law, as well as the humanities and social sciences.
From April 16 to 19, Casablanca hosted one of the largest international education exhibitions, where over 200 educational institutions from 40 countries presented their academic opportunities to young people from Morocco and other African countries.
At RUDN University, New Year comes twice. On the eve, its walls were filled with music, bright colors, and festive buzz. This time in honor of the upcoming Year of the Horse according to the lunar calendar.
In honor of the 66th anniversary of our university, 95 diplomats from 60 countries gathered in its walls. At the round table “All flags at RUDN”, the university presented a new educational course and talked about other programs and study opportunities at the university for foreign citizens.
