School students from Uzbekistan want to become oil workers, economists, doctors, programmers and architects
September 21, a round table with RUDN University graduates and friends was held in Tashkent on the basis of RUDN University Representative Office in Uzbekistan. The participants discussed the main mechanisms for improving interaction with foreign students, graduates and their unions and associations in Uzbekistan. Representatives of RUDN spoke about the rules for admitting foreign citizens to RUDN, opportunities for bilateral cooperation and interaction between Uzbek associations and unions and RUDN. Particular attention was paid to cooperation in the field of education and science, academic mobility of research and teaching staff and students.

I consider this a good contribution to the development of bilateral relations between our states. I would like to say special words of gratitude to the academics of all our Russian universities who are working at the exhibition these days. You perfectly demonstrate the widest range of Russian education, attracting Uzbek youth to study in Russia. We see how interested high school students are in Russian universities, I hope that there will be even more students from this warm and sunny republic in Russia,” Pavel Shevtsov, Deputy Head of Rossotrudnichestvo.
“Cooperation between Russia and Uzbekistan in the field of education has a long history. Russian higher education opens doors and provides many opportunities. Currently, more than 57,000 Uzbek students are studying at Russian universities, and their number may increase. The Government of the Russian Federation has significantly increased the number of state-funded places for applicants from Uzbekistan,” said Oleg Malginov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to the Republic of Uzbekistan in a welcoming speech.

For the 2024/2025 academic year, a quota of 800 places has been established for citizens of Uzbekistan to study at state universities of the Russian Federation.
Currently, 1,187 students from the Republic of Uzbekistan are studying at RUDN University, 16 documents on cooperation between RUDN University and universities of Uzbekistan have been concluded.
RUDN Institute of Environmental Engineering is hosting the winners of the Indonesian International Student Mobility Awards 2024 state scholarship program for the second time. The participants chose between 126 universities from 23 countries, including the USA, Canada and Australia. 25 best Indonesian students chose Russia and came to Moscow for the first time.
In the morning, the main building is always crowded, students rushing to their first class. Suddenly, there is a large group of smiling young people from Africa, very smartly dressed, wearing scarfs with two logos on them, one — a university logo and the other — an unfamiliar abbreviation JGC.
RUDN University welcomed a delegation of three Municipal Assemblies of the Republic of Ghana - Korle Klottey, La Dade-Kotopon and Ledzokuku. At the meeting the parties discussed the results of the educational school “Solid Waste Management and Circular Economy”, held at the Institute of Ecology of RUDN University this year.
