Anna Vasilievna Lyalina is an outstanding chief accountant of the University. And it’s not just that she worked for us for 25 years. Anna Vasilievna is remembered for a number of remarkable qualities, chief accountants seldom have.
Anna Vasilievna was easy to talk to, even in formal communication. Her knowledge and professionalism helped us, when the country began to experience economic difficulties, while we still had a lot of tasks. Even when it was difficult to allocate funds for some important things, she came up with ideas how to find these funds. At the time I was a young Head of the Scientific Department and badly needed that kind of professional advice.
Moreover, the experience of going through the Great Patriotic War as well as being at the battlefront had a great impact on Anna Vasilievna. She always appreciated people and life more than many others. Her colleagues, including the Rector- Vladimir Stanis, always listened to her opinion.
These qualities set the style of work not only in the Accounting Department, but also throughout the University
I was sitting in my office, a young accountant then. Suddenly the door opened and Anna Vasilievna came in saying: “I am Lyalina.” I answered: “Anna Vasilievna, I know perfectly well who you are,” and I see myself rising from my chair against my will, without even thinking.
