National exhibitions, Arabic sweets and a reading competition: RUDN University hosts Days of Culture of students from Lebanon
The program of the Culture Days for Lebanese students was intense including national exhibitions, a poetry evening, a futsal tournament, a Tasty Festival and a concert. There was live music, and representatives of the fraternity performed national dances along with the guests. At the exhibitions, students from Lebanon talked about the culture of their country and treated guests to coffee and Arabic sweets. The poetry evening featured a reading competition won by Raman Hamdan. The audience also competed in eloquence — after the main program, the guests went on stage and impromptu recited poems for the girls. Traditional Lebanese dishes were prepared at the Tasty Festival, while the sports program included a futsal tournament.

Graduates of this university are famous for their extensive knowledge, which they successfully apply all over the world,” Komaiha Abdel Hassan, president of the fraternity of RUDN students from the Lebanese Republic.
Mr. Wissam Subra, employee of the Embassy of the Lebanese Republic in the Russian Federation attended the event, which ended with a festive concert. Students performed Lebanese songs and dances, and the winners of the reading competition and futsal tournament received letters of acknowledgement.

On a Sunday winter day at the exhibition named “Russia” RUDN University gathered students, partners, colleagues, and organized lectures under the title “We are different! We are equal! We are together!” The event took place in Pavilion 57 on the platform of the Russian Society “Znanie”. And on this day the hall was jam-packed.
The event was attended by more than 350 students from Russia, Bahrain, Egypt, Yemen, Libya, Mauritania, Morocco, and Tunisia. The students organized an exhibition of the fraternity, introducing the guests to national dances, treating them to Algerian coffee, Arabic sweets and talked about the culture and history of the people of the country. The week ended with a futsal tournament.
On the eve of the New Year, we are summing up the past 365 days and set new goals for the next year. Whatever we do — study, work or do research — we intend to conquer even higher peaks.
