Tasty Festival, Dances, and Songs: Days of Yemeni Student Culture at RUDN University.
The program of the Yemeni Student Culture Days was vibrant. Students organized exhibitions showcasing their national culture, treating guests to Yemeni coffee and Arabian sweets. The events were accompanied by live music, and representatives of the community performed national dances alongside the guests. At the Tasty Festival, visitors cooked traditional Yemeni dishes. The sports program included tournaments in mini-football and chess.
The Culture Days were attended by the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Yemen to the Russian Federation, Dr. Ahmed Al-Wahishi, and the President of the Association of Arab Students at RUDN, Mohamed Azeyani.
“I emphasize the significant role played by the preparation of Yemeni specialists in various fields: medicine, engineering, economics, politics, and more. Thousands of Yemeni professionals, graduates of Soviet and Russian universities, actively contribute to the development of our country. As Yemeni students at RUDN, we will continue their path in the development of our homeland and the enhancement of Russo-Yemeni relations. We express our gratitude to Russia for the opportunity to study at the renowned University of Peoples’ Friendship. Thank you, Russia!” — Mahyub Haysam Abdulrahman Ahmed, President of the Yemeni Student Association at RUDN.
The culminating event of the Culture Days was a festive concert. Students performed Yemeni songs and dances, while the winners of the mini-football and chess tournaments received commendations.
