Seminar “Deterministic chaos”
24 September at 16:30 MSK
One of the most significant scientific discoveries of recent decades is the discovery of deterministic chaos in dynamical systems. The essence of this discovery is that a fully deterministic dynamic system can behave in an unpredictable way in the absence of any random influences on it. But this unpredictability, upon closer examination, exhibits a number of patterns in the behavior of the system, which distinguishes this phenomenon from classical random processes. Such regimes are observed in many dynamical systems that are considered in mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology, medicine, economics and other disciplines.
