Annual student scientific conference "World Economy in the XXI century: Globalization and Regionalization"
RUDN University hosts a student scientific conference “World Economy in the XXI Century: Globalization and Regionalization”.
The goal is to discuss the features of socio-economic development of cities, countries and regions of the world in the context of the globalization of the world economy.
Theoretical and practical issues to be discussed:
- Problems and trends of sectoral and regional socio-economic development of the economy of Russia, countries of the world and macroregions;
- Strategies for “smart specialization” of regional development: “smart region”, “smart city”;
- Modern features of urbanization and urban development in the countries of the world;
- Regional competitiveness, economic growth and tasks of effective use of natural and intellectual resources of the regions; competitive advantages of the regions; mechanisms for ensuring regional competitiveness.
The conference will be attended by over 60 students, postgraduate students, teachers and researchers, including those from foreign countries (Belarus, Poland, Kazakhstan, etc.) from the following universities: Lomonosov Moscow State University, Belarusian State University (Minsk, Belarus), Al-Farabi Kazakh National University (Alma-Ata, Kazakhstan), Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation, etc.
Working languages of the conference: English and Russian.
Target audience: students and postgraduate students, young scientists, researchers and teachers.
Articles on the most interesting reports will be published in the electronic journal of RUDN Faculty of Economics “Innovative Economy”, indexed in the RSCI. The publication of the collection of abstracts of scientific reports of the seminar participants is not planned.
The conference is co-organized by the Faculty of Geography and Geoinformatics of the Belarusian State University (Minsk, Republic of Belarus), the Faculty of Geography and Environmental Management of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University (Alma-Ata, Kazakhstan) and the University of Economics in Katowice (Poland).
