In this talk, I will discuss some models with the objective to generate signals that resemble brain rhythms. The requirement is to produce signals that have a main beat or frequency that we can somehow control but that are not periodic in the mathematical sense. We will discuss different aspects and confront with examples coming from neuroscience studies.
