Conference “Mass Communication Media in a Multipolar World: Problems and Perspectives”

At the Faculty of Philology of the RUDN University will host the XIV All-Russian Scientific and Practical Conference “Mass Communication Media in a Multipolar World: Problems and Prospects”. The event is organized with the support of the Moscow State Pedagogical University (Institute of Journalism, Communications and Media Education) and the N.I. Lobachevsky Nizhny Novgorod State University (Institute of Philology and Journalism).
Today, mass media and communications increasingly influence the formation of the media picture of the world and the audience’s reactions, so the study of modern trends in the emergence of new channels and functional changes in traditional channels of mass media communication only increases its theoretical and practical relevance. No less important now is the discussion of the problems of successful and safe promotion of media information products, regardless of the specific media industry. The task of creating a favourable image of Russia in the mental representation of the world community and the image of other countries among the Russian audience remains relevant.
The conference is devoted to scientific understanding of current changes in the functioning of mass media and new media, as well as practical innovations in the sphere of media communications in the context of digitalisation of information space in crisis situations.
The aim of the conference is to generalise new theoretical and practical knowledge in the field of mass media and mass media communication, public relations, advertising and imageology.
The work of the conference will be held in the format of plenary and sessional sessions in the following areas:
- Print and electronic media (radio and television)
- Public relations and advertising
- New Media
- Modern Media Issues
- Imagology and International Journalism
- Book publishing in the media system
The Organising and Programme Committees of the conference will include well-known scientists and leading specialists in philology, media communication and linguistics.
The conference results will be published annually in a collection of materials indexed in the RSCI database.
Applications and conference materials will be accepted until 10 November 2023 inclusive by e-mail: org-conf_cmc@rudn.ru.
