About the event

On 19 December at 16:00 p.m. (Moscow time)

A scientific seminar “Defensible Network Architectures: Ensuring Security in Modern Network Infrastructure” will be held at RUDN University.

Speaker: Francis Aidan Ruambo, Lecturer in the Department of Information Systems and Technology at the Mbeya University of Science and Technology (MUST).

Protecting modern network infrastructure against cyberattacks is becoming increasingly difficult due to its complex and ever-changing nature. Developing a comprehensive approach known as defensible network architecture is essential to address this challenge. This approach is based on several fundamental principles, including defense in depth, zero trust, segmentation, micro-segmentation, and automation. Defensible network architecture can be implemented using various technologies such as firewalls, intrusion detection and prevention systems, Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) systems, and Network Access Control (NAC) systems. The benefits of implementing this approach include reduced risk of cyberattacks, improved compliance, increased resilience, and reduced costs. This report delves into defensible network architecture principles, provides examples of its implementation in modern network infrastructure, and highlights its benefits in protecting critical assets and data for organizations.
