X International Scientific and Practical Symposium on Urban Soils

Geography and level of participants: more than 150 participants from more than 10 countries: scientists, researchers, representatives of urban services, sociologists and eco-urbanists, heads of urban enterprises.
Brief description of the event
The tenth anniversary annual International Symposium on Urban Soils will be held in New York (USA) from November 21 to 22, 2025.
The symposium is traditionally and invariably organized by the Institute of Urban Soils of Brooklyn College of the City University of New York in cooperation with the Patrice Lumumba Peoples' Friendship University of Russia. Partners include the University of Louisiana at Lafayette and the New York City Institute of Public Space Architecture.
The symposium will focus on discussing problems and challenges in the field of urban soils and sustainable development of urban ecosystems. The Symposium is an information and educational platform that creates conditions for effective interaction and collaboration between participants and promotes the dissemination of the results of modern research on urban soils, improving technologies and techniques used in monitoring and evaluating urban ecosystems.
The leading speakers of the symposium will be scientists in the field of sustainable development of urban ecosystems, representatives of the city administration.
The symposium program includes more than 10 different events, such as sections and discussions, seminars, round tables, working group meetings, workshops, exhibitions. Landscape architects, urban farmers, educators, scientists, as well as architects and practitioners from various fields will share their research and interactive events. In addition, the annual international discussion "RUDN University-Institute of Urban Soils" will be held within the framework of the Symposium.
