About the event

On May 13, 2026, the scientific center "Smart technologies for sustainable development of the urban environment in the context of global changes" of ATI RUDN University will organize an international scientific seminar "Taxonomic and functional diversity of urban park soils under varying degrees of disturbance". The event will be held in a mixed format on the Yandex Telemost platform. The working language is Russian.

The seminar will be devoted to modern approaches to the study of the taxonomic and functional diversity of urban soils and their associated microbial communities under technogenic pressure. It will address the community structure and the range of functions of soil organisms in parks differing in the degree of disturbance, the potential of epiphytic microorganisms to degrade polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons in the urban environment as an element of surface bioremediation, as well as the mycobiota of fine dust in the “air–green vegetation–soil” system of urban ecosystems.
