International scientific and practical conference “Motina readings”
2018 is marked by the 90th anniversary of the first Dean of the FATT RFL, Professor Ekaterina Ivanovna Motina. The expert was at the origins of teaching Russian as a Foreign Language. She came to the Peoples' Friendship University in 1960 to organize the process of teaching Russian to foreigners, and in 1968 she headed the Faculty of Advanced Training of Teachers of Russian as a Foreign Language. In 1978, under the leadership of E. I. Motina, a team of teachers of the PFU began to work on training foreign cosmonauts in the Russian language (“Intercosmos” program). E. I. Motina was one of the first to develop the linguistic and didactic foundations of professionally oriented teaching of RFL.
Motina readings” in 2018 is a tribute to the deep appreciation to Ekaterina Ivanovna Motina - a scientist, teacher, leader, person.
