About the event

On 10 October at 12:00 p.m. (Moscow time)

Speaker: Ryzhkov Alexey Dmitrievich, Mathematical Institute, RUDN University, Moscow.

The report will be devoted to the Bieberbach hypothesis, which gives estimates for the coefficients of the Taylor series of holomorphic and single-leaf functions in the unit circle. After that, the main achievements will be described, which made it possible to obtain a proof of the hypothesis in the future. More general hypotheses such as the Robertson hypothesis and the Milin hypothesis will be described, as well as their relation to the Biberbach hypothesis. In the last part of the talk, we will talk about Louis de Brange’s approach to proving the correctness of Biberbach’s assumption.
